Why are prices kinda high on all the new body kits you have added?

We have already added the shipping charge to the price for you. Shipping a large bumper piece from Japan is not exactly cheap. We repackage the item to send out to the USA. Or we have another company wrap it well for us. We want to insure it gets there safely for you.

 

How long will shipping take for a body kit piece?

Most body kit pieces are to large to be sent by plane. Sending them by plane would cost over $1,000. We must ship them out by ship which can take anywhere from 2 months to 3. This is the cheapest way. With each piece we try and find the best shipping method. If you would like your body piece faster please contact us, however it will be expensive. Some aero parts we are able to send out by plane but not all, we will contact you letting you know how we ship your items.

 

Are the body kit pieces packaged well?

Yes!  We repackage and wrap each piece we get to insure a safe trip to the USA.

 

Will you ship to other countries besides the USA for your body kits?

Yes. However please contact us before ordering as shipping prices may be different.

 

 Just how effective are the RAC, RMC and RAS?

Well, put simply very effective! Of course you drive your MX-5 on very sunny days so you know how hot you can get. You cut the A/C on but it's just not really reaching you and your still hot. You put your hands close to the vents and can feel that it is cold. Now imagine that cold air on your back, bottom and behind your head. That's what these products do for you! They will keep you cool I promise it.

 

Does the RAC, RMC and RAS work on NA and NB Roadsters?

They were made for the NC Roadster 2006-2008.  However, a few customers have wrote me claiming it worked fine on the NA and NB models.

 

Will the RAC or RAS work on other convertible cars such as the BMW Z4, Pontiac Solstice, or the Saturn Sky?

Quite possibly, but I am not 100% sure. The A/C connection hose end for the RAC, RMC and RAS is 3.5 inches big. It is flexible and able to squeeze into smaller openings. However larger openings may require you to become inventive.  Some customers have wrote and told me it worked on an S2000, BMW Z4 and a Mustang. I'm not sure if this involved a little modding.

 

Will the RAC or RAS work on non covertible cars?

Just as above I am not 100% sure.  However, if it is possible the amount of air flow from the A/C foot duct will be limited. Convertibles are designed to have a more powerful AC and are able to blow more air.

 

What must I do to install the RAC and RMC?                                                                                               

You must remove the drivers side foot AC duct on the NC, this requires you to remove 2 screws.  Once removed you slide the hose inside, lock it in place and screw it back on. Then slide the seat cushion over the seat and connect the hose. The process takes about 10 minutes. For the NA/NB Roadsters you simply just stick the hose inside the air duct and slide the cushion on and connect it.

 

How does the RAC and RMC work?

The RAC and RMC is connected to the MX-5's AC. Simply cut the AC on and the fan built into the chair, then air flows through the cushion. 

 

The RAC don't look all that great can't you make it look better?

We are not really after looks, but cooling you off. I understand some may not like the RAC covering their whole seat, so I just came up with the new RMC which fits perfectly in the Roadsters seat.   If you don't like either try out the RAS.

 

Does the hose disconnect from the cushion?

Yes the hose can be disconnected and you can actually stick it up your pants leg or anywhere it will fit to blow air on you.

 

Once I install the RAC or RMC can I remove it?

YES! You can remove it anytime simply by unscrewing the 2 screws on the AC foot duct and pulling the cushion off. You can then screw on the foot duct with no problems.

 

Is there a passenger side RAC and RMC?

Yes there is now!

How long does it take to make an RAC, RMC or RAS and ship it out?

Depending on how many orders we have, it can take about 3 to 4 weeks.  But we will try to get it done much faster. Please keep in mind we are only 2 people making these by hand.

 

How cold or hot doe's the air being blown from the RAS get?

The MX-5's AC system is pretty good. When using the air conditioner set on cold on very hot days the air from the RAS is quite cool and refreshing. On cold days using the heat, once the car warms up enough from driving it gets pretty hot. In fact, I use the RAS on pretty cold days  driving with the top down and feel very warm.

 

Can I stick the RAS under my clothing to keep warm or cool?

Yes! You are able to stick the hose pretty much anywhere you wish. On hot days if you feel sweaty under your shirt, simply stick the RAS under it for a nice cool breeze. On cold days slide it under your jacket or coat to keep warm.

 

Will the hose on the RAC, RMC or RAS melt from the heat being to hot?

No, the hose is made to take the heat and will be fine.

 

When using the RAC, RMC or RAS with the A/C set on cold will the hose percipitate?

No, the special fabric we use around the hose prevents problems like this.

 

What kind of fabric do you use to make the seat belt pads?

We use polyester or any kind of soft fabric that is easy to be embroided on.

 

Why am I limited to 10 letters or less to be embroidered on the seat belt pads?

Our embroidery machine can make large fonts however, due to the size of the seat belt pads if you choose over 10 letters the font will be pretty small to fit.

 

How long does it take to make the custom seat belt pads?

They only take about 5 hours for my wife to make, however if we have many orders it could take a few weeks.
