In February 1984, Mr Masaaki Omodaka and key staff who had a passion for cars got together and established 'DAMD Works' 'DAMD Works' then started production of custom parts for cars, pushing their passion for creating new and innovative designs to the limit of what was the norm at the time. The company has grown from strength to strength with many prestigious awards and show winning designs under their belt, so much so that many manufacturers now offer DAMD products as dealer options in showrooms all over Japan.
The first thing that will catch your attention of this kit is the front grille, a large mouth that reminds us of the Aston Martin. Mr Omodaka has a lot of respect for the Aston Martin, and got his inspiration from those mythological cars and offered this Roadster a front grille that looks absolutely magnificent. A lot of work has been invested in this part of the car to give this Roadster a certain look without disfiguring it or making a cheap copy of the Aston Martin style. We must say that the DAMD design team succeeded in creating a magnificent front grille that is in total harmony with the rest of the car.
The work done on this Roadster makes it difficult to recognize the car that is hidden underneath the bodykit at first glance, and only the headlights betray the Mazda Roadster hidden underneath all the modified bits and pieces. Made of fibre reinforced plastic the kit is strong and we here at Blaze Customs love this kit better than all the rest.
